    1. RE: [AUS-MELB] another inheritance thing!
    2. Thanks very much Carmel ! Sorry, I can't get the gist of the 2nd part of your reply. "Here are" should that have been "There are"? as you haven't listed any others. The Tom bit might be misleading especially if the possible Tom wasn't the first man - who left from Melbourne. I just had a look and can't find an uncle Tom on the Jennings side for the old relative who told mum years ago. (mum thinks it was Tom - many years ago!) I wanted to know if there were many murders around 1920+ in Melbourne for me to sift through, and where to get the records. 'Ross' doesn't ring a bell, though I will go through other branches from further back. I'm off to bed, I really need my beauty sleep :) Lyn in southern NSW ----------------- Message------------------------ From: Carmel M Reynen [mailto:fcfibre1@bigpond.com] Sent: Sunday, 5 March 2006 10:23 PM Subject: another inheritance thing! Lynn There was a Thomas E Ross murdered by gunshot the dates given a inquiry date 22 Oct 1925 but then it has other date 13 Nov 1930. it is the closest after 1920 for a Tom. HERE ARE a few more candidates maybe cross reference with death indexes. It may narrow it down further. Would be interested to know how you get on. Also the numbers will give you the records from PROV which are quite detailed.
