Hello Margaret Take a trip to your local library and see if they have the old rate books on fiche. This will give you the name of the owner and tenant along with the actual rates paid and arrears if any. The rate collectors didn't go right along the street and back the other side. Quite often they would turn down a side street and come back later do finish. This means that the street name may appear in different areas on the fiche. Some early records don't have house numbers as there may have been only a few houses built at that time. Regards Graham
