Hi Chris; I did indeed; check out the site you advised; even going back On Line to do so and thought that was the shop shown in the old family photo that we have, but further examination of, says no unfortunately and I now wonder if they had more than one store, as the photo we have is of "MITCHELL & McCABE - ?04 Practical Tailors 3??" so looks like 304/306? somewhere or other? Monday night I went "Googling" finding "MITCHELL McCABE Menswear, Men's Clothing, 306-308 Clarendon St, South Melbourne 3205" which also seems very promising indeed? Both the picture you directed me to and the photo we have are very similar in many ways; seeming to be almost the same design etc, except for the odd difference in design. In the information you found for us; does it mention what the shop was or who then had? Thank you ever so very much, as yes; this seems to be one of their shops? and the info you've been good enough to supply us, adds to the interest? Kindest regards; Robert KEMSLEY ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chris Bryce" <jbr06951@bigpond.net.au> To: <AUS-MELBOURNE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, May 16, 2006 8:17 PM Subject: Re: [AUS-MELB] Frederick Mitchell, Tailor of 96 Bridport St, South Melbourne. > take a look at this web page there is a small photo of 96 Bridport Street > Albert Park.
