The earlist Victorian Roll is 1856, not sure if was bt Electoral Districts, then 1899 Referendum for the Commonwealth. First really useful and complete Roll was 1903. Hi All, Having read this email I was wondering if SKS had access to this Victorian Roll of 1856 at all? Depending on when it was taken would depend of Harriet POWER (nee BARDENS) was still alive. And if possible could a lookup be on her husband, Austin POWER (39), daughter Justina (11), and sons Austin (9) and Alfred (6). Don't know if I would be lucky enough to find them in the 1899 Referendum eh....or 1903 Roll. I have been given a site that says Justina married in Dunedin, NZ but they state their Justina was in Bendigo in 1849...five years before we see mine arrive in Melbourne...and yet she has the same parents as mine...slight spelling mistake in Harriet's maiden name. They have BARDON instead of BARDENS. Thanks for any assistance you can give me with this. Hooray, Warren in Ballarat. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Eric Tetlow" <etetlow@alphalink.com.au> To: <AUS-MELBOURNE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, May 16, 2006 5:34 PM Subject: Re: [AUS-MELB] Electoral Districts > The earlist Victorian Roll is 1856, not sure if was bt Electoral > Districts, then 1899 Referendum for the Commonwealth.
