Hi Warren, I e-mailed Colleen off-list with everything I could find on the family / families when she first posted the message some time ago. The age of "James Austin" suits that of Austin Senior. Charles I assume would have been buried at sea, he died 15th July 1854. It is possible that (Austin Senior) Harriet & Francis may be buried in the BENDIGO area since Justina apparently had recorded they immigrated to BENDIGO. Austin Junior and Alfred did indeed die in NEW SOUTH WALES. They may well be buried at ROOKWOOD Cemetery but if they are they are not listed on the ROOKWOOD CD. When you purchase their death certificates they should state where and when they were buried, their marital status and any children etc. to them. Either Austin & Alfred went overseas for a time and returned or they were not enrolled to vote. Neither appear on the NEW SOUTH WALES 1903 Electoral Roll. Justina married a John Joseph CONNOR and she died in 1937 in NEW ZEALAND. Justina Mary has listed her father as Austin "Synus" POWER. I have just received a e-mail from Colleen. Hi Dorne, Yes they are my family....guess Colleen likes being called a sweetheart :)) I noticed in James Mason's site that Justina was said to be in Bendigo at the age of 4 in 1849. Everything else is my family except for that, and he put down BARDON as Harriet's maiden name when it is actually BARDENS. If they were not in NSW in 1903 electoral roll perhaps they were still in Victoria (Bendigo) then. As for Austin Snr being in Bendigo I have seen a second marriage in London in 1873 and wondered if this may be him returning to England. Guess I'll find out sooner or later eh.
