I am guessing his first wife was Philippi Hosking Carmen. he married her in 1856. she died in 1878 and was born in Cornwall. her parents were Richard Carman and Phillipa Hosking. they had 10 children born in Epsom and Whitehills between 1857 and 1877. Lyn, I do have a copy of the cert. No.1 wife died 1878 leaving 10 children. Do you have access to these please? William was an engineer, remarried in Bendigo. Any ref. nos please? Thanks thus far.
