Does anyone know anything about foster care in Vic during the 1930 -50s. I have a lady who was bought up in around Coburg with what she called a foster family. She was with them the whole time and even used their name but from what the family says she was not adopted. She has died now but her daughter is anxious to find out more about her mother's natural family mainly for health reasons. It appears this family had more than one foster child which leads me to believe they would be registered somewhere as foster parents, which would then tell who the foster children would be. I know there are some records at PROV but I don't imagine they would go up to this date. any hints or ideas would be great. Carmel
