Hi Margaret Thanks for your email. Unfortunatley, my Hessey/Essie/Esther Beckett is the only one I have in my tree, hence I added her in below as I have been searching for years to find any details on her at all. Her death record states as father - John J Beckett & mother blank, she was abt 50 when she died in 1874 her in Victoria & birth place is London. So that would mean she was abt 17 or 18 when she was married, I purchased her wedding certificate, hoping that I would find more detail, with no luck, the only thing I found out from that document was she could not write as X marked the spot of her signature. She married here in Victoria in July 1841 to Duncan Clark who was from Greenock Scotland. I haven't been able to find any shipping details for either of them. They went on to have 10 children between Williamstown & Sale - Victoria. I also have Duncan Clark's death certificate which verify's the above records. I checked the 1841 census but I guess she was already here in Australia or on her way when the census was taken. I wish there was a 1831 census as I am sure I would find her there. If I ever find any details I will let you know.
