Hi All, Today I came across a wonderful book called 'The Somerset Years'. I have heard of it before but had not previously found it anywhere. I was so delighted to read about many of the ships that arrived in Port Phillip as a lot of my ancestors arrived on them. Names include BRUTON - on the 'Constance' , BROADHURST & HULL 'Bombay' , ABBEY 'Mohammed Shah' , BISSET 'Australia'. The book includes notes about certain passengers aboard each ship. (presumably those from Somerset). Would anyone know where these details could be found? None of mine were from Somerset and I have almost no details of what they did after they arrived in Victoria (except for info found in the BDMs). I have heard from other family members that Peter BROADHURST who arrived on the Bombay actually kept a diary that was published in a Melbourne Newspaper. As I live in Sydney, I would welcome any ideas on how to go about finding information. Kind regards Maureen
