I can find after 3 hrs of browsing no connection whatever on the Herald Sun website or the State Library website unless one is a member or at least resident of Victoria. I am looking for any story or date for the death of my cousin Ernest James Paterson who was one of three murder victims in South Melbourne in 1970. I've diligently searched the Fawkner Crematorium website where his remains are said to be interred with his parents Stanley James and Annie Katherine Paterson (nee Carroll). I've also searched the PROV records for 5 yrs either side of 1970 and I can find no record of his death. The story (anecdotal) says that his body was removed by the Victorian Police Forensic investigations I have written them a Snail mail letter but no response to date. There is apparently 2 men still doing time for committing the crime. Any ideas anyone?
