Hi Perle I think you are looking for: St Joseph's Home for Unmarried Mothers in Grattan Street, (opposite the Royal Womens Hospital) This was set up in 1905 for young girls in a 'situation' at the time. In 1973, after the Supporting Parent Benefit became available, institutional care was eventually phased out as more young women were able to keep their babies.
