Hi Listers, Can someone please help me with the following query about the Victoria BDM on-line site. I would like to purchase a death certificate for family history reasons for someone who died on the 12July1986. The BDM site seems to say death certificates are available[index as well] on-line up to 1985 but after that there is a long process involving privacy, which makes the process a lot more difficult. However, when you look at this process it seems to say it is only applicable to deaths in the last 10 years, i.e., after 1988. Does anyone know the answer to this? Can I buy a 1986 certificate without going through the privacy procedure? I tried to contact the BDM site by email to sort this out but could not get through.
