    3. Hello Ada, Thankyou for that information. So far I have found my Ah Cue listed on several indexes as John Cue, Wm. Cue, Lim Cue, and Lem Cue, I also have seen a couple of instances where he is listed as Cwe, Que, and Kew. However, I am very lucky in that he signed his marriage certificate with his Chinese symbol. I have had it tranlated by two different sources including the Chinese Embassy in Canberra and they assure me the name is spelt QIAO. It means "Bridge" or a "Crossing Over". One has to think laterally when researching Chinese ancestors.
