    3. Hello Anne, Chris and Barb, I am very grateful for the help and advice from the list. The person I am interested in was buried following an inquest, and as I already have his inquest papers in my possession I didn't think I would glean any further information apart from the name of the cemetery from his death certificate. I tried a deceased search and got "no results"on the Springvale Necropolis website, and also Fawkner's website as well, before posting my query here. If you are able to help Anne I would very much appreciate it. The deceased's name was William CUE, died 1956 aged 84 yrs, wife's name Catherine. He lived in a boarding house in Caulfield and died of Carbon Monoxide poisoning after accidently leaving the gas on in the kitchen when he went to bed. If you cannot find anything I will try Chris's suggestion and contact the Brighton Cemetery. Buying the death certificate is of course the easiest answer but I will keep that option as the last resort. Thank, Barry Howard. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Anne Hanson" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, July 06, 2008 3:59 PM Subject: Re: [AUS-MELBOURNE] Burial location > Barry, > > If you let me know the person's name I might be able to help you. > > Cheers > > Anne H.

    3. Hi Barry I am intrigued by the name CUE because it is a name that appears in my own family history. Am wondering if you have a Samuel CUE born 25 November 1890 at Castlemaine - Father Samuel, Mother, Anne Batty. It looks from the Vic. Death Index that your William's parents were John & Sarah (nee DONCASTER). See that you've tried Fawkner, Springvale & St. Kilda why not send an e-mail to Melbourne General Cemetery. Their e-mail address is: [email protected] Cheers Anne -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of B.Howard Sent: Sunday, 6 July 2008 6:57 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [AUS-MELBOURNE] Burial location Hello Anne, Chris and Barb, I am very grateful for the help and advice from the list.
