Hello List, I am researching the history of the ship Lysander which brought my ancestors to Melbourne from Ireland in 1841. I have found that in 1860, towards the end of it's life, it was put on exhibition in Melbourne prior to being broken up. An advertisement said that it lies berthed at "McCallum's Ferry adjacent to the Gasworks". I am assuming this was somewhere in the Yarra River but would like to know where. Can anyone help me pinpoint it's location please? Barry Howard Victoria. Aust.
