    1. [AUS-MELBOURNE] Recipients of Medallion to Celebrate Victoria's150th Birthday?
    2. KEMSLEY, Robert N. G.
    3. A very good evening to you Max; Sincere thanks for your response to my previous posting. Initially; the Certificate that your Late Son received; sounded similar to that sent my family, but; it doesn't sound quite the same? The Certificate sent my family was signed by the Premier of Victoria: John CAIN, but unfortunately; it's undated. The wording thereon is as follows: "In recognition of the long and valuable contribution you have made to our great State, the Government of Victoria congratulates you in this 150th Anniversary Year" Together with the Certificate; there was a Medallion (Depicting the logo of the Sesquicentenary) and also a letter from the Premier, which was addressed to: "Dear Honoured Citizen" The 1st Paragraph of the letter (Also signed by the Premier and undated) reads as follows: "To mark the occasion of Victoria's 150th Anniversary, the Government of Victoria has decided to honour all those citizens of Victoria who were born on or before the Federation of Australia, 1 January 1901" Kindest Regards; Robert KEMSLEY ----- Original Message ----- From: "Max" <dormax@netspace.net.au> To: <aus-melbourne@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, May 13, 2010 10:43 AM Subject: Re: [AUS-MELBOURNE] Recipients of Medallion to Celebrate Victoria's 150th Birthday? > Hi Robert > > I have a Certificate > Presented to > My Late Son > it is dated 16.11.1984 > > In Commemoration of > Victoria's 150th > Anniversary > 1984-85 > > signed > John Cain > Premier > and > Robert Fordham > Minister of Education > > Not sure if this will be of help to you > > regards > > > Max
