    3. Seeking info on Reginald MEEHAN, who is believed to have been in Port Phillip before June 1844. When my gr-gr-grandmother, Catherine HINCHEYcame from Limerick Ireland to Sydney in 1844 as an assisted passenger on the bounty ship, Royal Saxon, her documents indicated that she already had a relative in the Colony: "a sister married to Reginald MEEHAN, gone to Port Phillip". I've been told that this kind of entry usually meant that they had arrived as a married couple but I have no idea which of Catherine HINCHEY's sisters this Reginald MEEHAN had married (she had at least 3 sisters- Bridget (b. 1825); Hanora (b.1828); Margaret (b. 1831)). I have info to share about parents/descendents of Catherine Hinchy if anyone has a connection. This "mystery MEEHAN" has been a brick wall for me for years - I've not been able to find any trace of him/them anywhere in Australia (or back in Ireland for that matter) but perhaps with more data and more "genies" online now, I'm really hoping for a breakthrough. Any/all assistance would be very much appreciated! Kaye Steward Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
