    3. Often Danish immigrants in the early days became naturalized, so check with the National Archives. My gt.grandfather and his four brothers all became naturalized and their naturalization papers are really interesting reading as amongst other information, you get the name of the ship in which they arrived plus the year. The death certificates also should let you know how long they have been here, so you can work out their year of arrival. They are available at http://www.gould.com.au/Emigrants-Hamburg-to-Australia-1857-59-p/qfh013. htm. I am not advertising here jut letting you know that they are there. I want to get one of them myself but have never gotten around to it and it is the only reference I have been able to find so far. I was wondering if anyone has ever seen or made a list of Danish immigrants to Australia during the 1850's. With thanks.
