Hi Libby There were two John Ralston's who arrived on the Great Britain in 1868 along with a female Cathe. I also searched the PROV Wills and Probate Index and again there are two John Ralston's - one died in Casterton which is a few miles further on than Hamilton but his wife was now Eleanor and there were no children named. Perhaps his wife and child died and he married again. Eleanor's Probate is also there.
