UNCLASSIFIED Shake Your Family Tree Open Day Tuesday 23 February 2010 9.30 am - 4.00pm Victorian Archives Centre 99 Shiel Street, North Melbourne Start your family history or learn more about how to at our open day. The National Archives of Australia is partnering with Public Record Office Victoria, Australian Institute of Genealogical Studies, the Genealogical Society of Victoria, the Immigration Museum and the State Library of Victoria to present a full day of free family history events. A highlight of this year's open day is the launch of our new book Keeping Family Treasures, which gives tips on how to preserve your family's heritage while taking a peek at what other Australians treasure. A new feature of our 2010 program will be the presentation of conservation clinics and the availability throughout the day to meet conservators and receive their advice on the care of your own family's records. Archival Survival will also be onsite to show their products and provide advice. We are also very pleased to announce that ancestry.com are part of this years event, we will be providing free access to the ancestry.com website on the day. So shake your family tree and dig in. You may be surprised at what you find.
