CARROLL.--On the 9th inst., at the Alfred Hospital, Henry Carroll (late of Northcote), aged 60. Deeply lamented The Argus (Melbourne, Vic. : Saturday 10 March 1894 As the name, place and age fit that of my gr gr grandfather I tried to purchase this death cert on line but the search produced no results. My Henry Carroll was born c 1834 in Limerick, Ireland and arrived in Melbourne in 1857. He was a saddler by trade. He married Catherine Maher or Meagher 09 April 1860. Catherine died 27 July 1884 and is buried in the General Cemetery, Melbourne. I don't know where Henry was living at the time of his death nor when he died. Most of his children were born in Northcote. I could not find a will on line. Can any one find the registration number for the Alfred Hospital 1894 death or confirm that this is the right Henry. Could Henry be buried with his wife? I found the General Cemetery webside but could not find a link to burial records or monumental inscriptions. Heather Armstrong
