Hello Jim The indexes don't give parentage of the marriage couple but it would be on the actual marriage certificate (which you can buy digitally online ($17.50) at https://online.justice.vic.gov.au/bdm/home. Have just checked the link, but the BDM service is down over Easter and will be available again on 4 April. I think this marriage took place in Scotland but I have been unable to find it. I have looked at his will and it mentions several children and grandchildren, son - James and dau.
