Re the project mentioned below, the AIGS Quarterly magazine has a column from the BDM Registry, the March 2010 column says in part EARLY CHURCH RECORDS DVD PROJECT Work continues on this DVD containing approximately 77,000 baptism, burial and marriage records, predoiminantly registered in Victorian churches during the years 1836 to 1853, Over 10,000 images of the original certificates will also be included. News on the DVD release is coming soon. Roll on the release is what I say please. BDM have been collecting records from a lot of churches and there is a project in progress to index all of these but no word on when they will be available. He was supposedly from Westminster London and she was from Scotland, no birth records or immigration dates yet found nor when either came to Australia I have tried BDM's in varied years, and many other sites, also tried other states, without any results..No clues on his death certificate 1865 (Coroner) Previous correspondence on these sites have advised to go to the church records but because I don't know which church, can anyone advise where I might get records for Wesleyan Parsonage or the The Bible Christian Parsonage both of Hotham, also Methodist church Richmond Many thanks in advance for your time Fran

I have found that in 1860, towards the end of it's life, it was put on exhibition in Melbourne prior to being broken up. An advertisement said that it lies berthed at "McCallum's Ferry adjacent to the Gasworks". I am assuming this was somewhere in the Yarra River but would like to know where.
