Hello Chris, Corio (Geelong) is a good hours drive in a modern car from Altona, The only connection is that both are (theoretically) on the coast of Port Phillip Bay, Victoria. There would be less than a handful of houses with an address "Esplanade, Altona" in 1932, so wouldn't expect there to be "a house number". Altona was barely settled, then. Hi all, I have just been looking at Electoral rolls and notice my Jane Boyd Walker Patrick and John Walker PATRICK are listed as being in the area of Corio in 1924 - 1937. Would Altona have come into that boundary at that time? I was hoping for an address to try and find where Jane died in 1932, number of the property that is, as I have her death cert but it's just got 'The Esplanade ,Altona and I would so like to find which number it was. Hello all, I am trying to find if anyone is researching this family. I have Mena Mabel GUNNER born Launceston 1882 married Walter Charles HUDSON. Walter was a Sawmiller at Lisle in 1906 when he married Mena Mabel. They had 5 children, Marjorie b 1907 d 1956 George William de Lisle b 1908 d 1975 Walter Edward b 1909 John Mackie b 1912 d 1980 Thelma b 1915 If anyone has these people in their tree, I'd like to share information. The family were in Lisle and Mena ran the PO until the late 30's when Walter became a Policeman at Westbury, Tasmania. I am sorry I seem to be persisting with this, when given so many reasons why it isn't one of mine.. I certainly do not doubt that there are other Bowles Families in that era with the same christian names, but I have that birth cert in black and white and with a Fathers signature on that document that I recognize from other documents it is hard to let it go without an answer.. Hi Fran You said previously that you have your Tree on Ancestry. There seems to be a lot of other Trees who have Albert William Bowles born 1884 Victoria Australia in their tree as well. You could look at each one and see if they provide any further information. But at the moment it seems to me as if Albert William Bowles does not belong to your tree. The Death Notice for Elizabeth Bowles who died in 1925 in Kensington mentions all 6 children including Arthur (deceased): The Argus Melbourne 21 July 1925.
