    1. [AUS-MELBOURNE] Sellstrom Chandler marriage
    2. Maryanne
    3. Good morning all, I have just joined this list as I found that my great grandfather had married a third time to a Kate Chandler in Melbourne. I am hoping that someone else on the list may already be researching this family or be able to help me. My great grandfather was Sven Sellstrom a sail maker born in 1842 in Sweden. Sven left Sweden and in 1864 married Jane Richmond nee Watt in Scotland they had 4 children then Sven left Scotland and headed for Australia. In 1883 he married my great grandmother Jane Mansfield nee Reed my grandfather Andrew Charles was born 1884 after a few of years Jane discovered that Sven had a wife and children in Scotland and threw him out. The last she heard from him was a letter that he sent from Melbourne. In 1888 Sven Sellstrom married Kate Chandler in Melbourne. From what I have found I think that Kate Chandler is Catherine Coy who married Thomas Chandler 1860 in Victoria he died 1884. I would appreciate any help in finding any more information about Kate Chandler especially her death and anything that may help me find where Sven went either with her or alone. TIA Maryanne South Australia
