    2. Peter n Judy
    3. Greetings to all over the years as the collection of information, photos and backups of PAF have grown the various media have been out grown, from the multiple number of 1.44 floppys thru cds to a 1 GB Kingston data traveller which is no longer larger enough to carry all. So I figure a 4.7 GB DVD will do the trick and although my system has a DVDCD writer I have been unable to back up to the DVD. I beleived the installed sonic Record Now program would allow me to do this but when I attempt to drag folders to the indicated area but it does not accept them and thus I can go no further. Am I missing something - can someone help please? Regards Peter Page

    2. Hi Robyn, Nothing in Sands & McDougall 1929, unless you have a business name? or a specific address? There are of course quite a few Jacksons, but none that say an occupation, and no cigar manufacturers of that name. Most by that stage are listed under company names. 3. Joanne Not sure if you have used the indexes but they come in different time frames and it is tedious going through them. An approx timeframe would be a help. for e.g. pioneer index goes from 1835 to 1888, federation 1889 to 1901, etc. Carmel ----- Original Message ----- From: "Joanne Salter" <electime@bigpond.net.au> To: <AUS-MELBOURNE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, January 26, 2006 3:52 PM Subject: RE: [AUS-MELB] Look-Up Please > Hi Anne > Their parents are Alfred Salter and Eileen Delaney; I'm not sure about > the years they were born. > Thank You > Joanne > > -----Original Message----- > From: Anne Hanson [mailto:ahanson8@bigpond.com] > Sent: Thursday, 26 January 2006 3:47 PM > To: AUS-MELBOURNE-L@rootsweb.com > Subject: RE: [AUS-MELB] Look-Up Please > > Joanne > > It would really make it much easier to do a look up for you if you gave > us > some dates even approximates will do and if possible one or other > parent's > names. > > Cheers > > Anne > > > > -----Original Message----- > From: Joanne Salter [mailto:electime@bigpond.net.au] > Sent: Thursday, 26 January 2006 3:43 PM > To: AUS-MELBOURNE-L@rootsweb.com > Subject: [AUS-MELB] Look-Up Please > > > Hi Everyone, > Could someone please do a lookup, I need some births looked up. > Gladys Salter > Florence Salter > Kathleen Salter > Thank You > Joanne > Joanne Salter > electime@bigpond.net.au > > > > > ==== AUS-MELBOURNE Mailing List ==== > ==================================================== > Virus warnings are not to be sent to the List! > ==================================================== > Searchable archives at > http://listsearches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl?list=AUS-MELBOURN > E-L > > ============================== > View and search Historical Newspapers.
