Looking for information on Martin Cooper panel beater formerly of Bell Street West Heidelberg and K. Dobson spray painter of Alexander Rd Thornbury 1950's. They knew my father Allen Godfrey Jones ex Ivanhoe Panel Works. Regards Kathryn
Hi all, I am interested in 2 people in this index. Our LDS centre doesn't have these m/fiches in their collection. Would SKS could please do me a lookup and transcribe the information on both fiches? 'ATALANTA' January 1853 - ELLIS, Thomas 24 years Port: B Fiche: 027 Page: 005 'QUEEN OF THE SEAS' September 1854 - ELLIS, Thomas 26 years Port: B. Fiche: 075 Page 011 Many thanks for your assistance. Michele in Sydney
Yes, I am in agreeance with what you write. I have had another member of my family publish on the internet, and with the LDS, my family history right down to my next ancestor, and I am very angry. My permisson was not sought. It is fair enough to share I suppose, but I object to certain things pertaining to my family line being shared!
Robyn I have looked at the Melbourne General Cemetery CD and none of these are listed, but that just means there are no headstones for them. What makes you think they are buried at this particular cemetery. It may be worth a look at Springvale, St Kilda, Faulkner, Coburg and Preston. all on line, look at www.ozgenonline/aust_cemeteries/ as this lists all cemeteries. Hi Sandra, I think the Argus was around in the 1960's, perhaps someone else could advise you where to go to read copies of this newspaper, which is no longer published. These will give you details of the death, how it happened, there would be witnesses etc. if it was a suicide there could be notes left by the deceased as well. These are worth having.
