There is a place up somewhere in the Daylesford Creswich region which has a name something like Bampied - not sure if it is that or Blampied or similar. Blac = Blackburn??? I have the brotherof my gg grandfather marrying a second time to a lass from Blackburtn in the 1880s from memory - if not, then the later 1870s. I hope this helps but am not at all sure it does! Hello, is anyone researching this name? Marion CUNNING married John GREY (GRAY on some records) on 21 Jan. 1859 They lived at Tullamarine and Keilor. John died 27 May 1914 aged 81 years and is buried in the Melbourne Central Cemetery. I have no idea of when Marion died, nor where she was buried. I have all the children, including the entries with incorrect spelling and know where they and John are buried. Cheers, Bob
William HAIME married Christian CUNNING in 1851. Christian died in 1862 and is buried in Woodend Cemetery. In 1863, William married Anna Morgan William is also buried in Woodend. Is anyone researching this name? Cheers, Bob

Hello. I am searching re Mary GAYLE, a widow. who married Andrew Erskine CUNNING circa 1855. Mary was a Grocer in Melrose St. North Melbourne. Mary was a Miss MEDDLECUT and married a GAYLE. Then, when widowed, she married Andrew. She and Andrew owned 8 single fronted houses in the street, some of which are still there. I have much data and photos re CUNNING, which I would be happy to share with anyone researching the same line. Cheers, Bob.
The Blac could be for a number of places with Black* Bamp I cannot find at all but Blampied came to mind. Are there others in the family around the same time to give hints on the areas they were in? Kathryn Before you leave check the website for these places. You need to order records for PROV so if you have numbers etc for these you can order them in advance via the website. Some homework before you go will get you a lot further. also with PROV records if you have a digital camera you can take it along and photograph the records, or some of them, you need to check at the counter before you take your pics. Hope you get lots Carmel ----- Original Message ----- From: "Paul & Kathryn Lucas" <pklucas@tpg.com.au> To: <AUS-MELBOURNE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, March 31, 2006 3:13 PM Subject: [AUS-MELB] Melbourne research >I will be in Melb for only 4 days Sat to Tuesday evening so trying to do >as > much research as I can. > > Can anyone tell me if Blaimey House as it was known in the 1950's still > exists? > > My father did a panel beating course at Richmond Tech in the 1940's. I will be in Melb for only 4 days Sat to Tuesday evening so trying to do as much research as I can. Can anyone tell me if Blaimey House as it was known in the 1950's still exists? My father did a panel beating course at Richmond Tech in the 1940's. Does the original Tech school still exist? I will be at the PROV on either Monday or Tuesday. If anyone on the list will be there on those days I'd really appreciate help if I get "stuck" The SLV I will also try to go to as well. And the Immigration museum Cheers Kathryn
