Hello. I am searching re Mary GAYLE, a widow. who married Andrew Erskine CUNNING circa 1855. Mary was a Grocer in Melrose St. North Melbourne. Mary was a Miss MEDDLECUT and married a GAYLE. Then, when widowed, she married Andrew. She and Andrew owned 8 single fronted houses in the street, some of which are still there. I have much data and photos re CUNNING, which I would be happy to share with anyone researching the same line. Cheers, Bob.
My nephew was driven to his baptism in his father's lovingly restored model in 1987. They are prized possessions here, much in demand for wedding cars for the bride at vintage-style weddings over here in England. Ford History Henry Ford launched the Ford Motor Company in a small converted wagon factory in the American city of Detroit on June 16, 1903. One hundred years later, Ford has grown to become the world's second largest automaker with around 350,000 employees, operating in more than 200 countries on six continents. A year after Ford was formed in the US, the first Ford car -- a Model A -- was imported into Australia in 1904. Ford cars continued to be imported into Australia through agents and distributors from Canada and the US over the next 20 years. In 1925, Ford Motor Company of Australia was formed and local production of the Model T began in Geelong, Victoria. In 2000, Ford Australia commemorated 75 years of local manufacture and is proud of the part it has played in the 100 years of Ford history around the world. Also their is a way in scanning that pic in two pieces and the later put it together in a publisher file I do it all the time with old record covers! once you have it in the publisher file you can then reduce it to fit A4 sized paper. If you wish to, what I do is reduce record covers to take the place for CD's as a lot of my music collection is on vinyl which I've changed over to CD Regards, Ray. Does anyone know anything about Christopher Berry who was on the General Census of Port Phillip 12 September 1838 together with William Ferguson , Harriet Ferguson , Rebecca Ferguson , Sarah Ferguson , Mary Ferguson , John White (Bond ) & Patrick Malaby (Bond) . He is indexed in Marten A Syme's book " Shipping arrivals & departures Victoria Ports " Vol 1 1798 - 1845 Roebuck Society Publications No 32 as Charles Berry in connection with the cutters Rectus & Victoria . ( I have the newspaper items on these entries ) . I also have all the entries from the Historical records of Victoria book series . Thanks , Lynn
Hi Lenore, As soon as I can shrink the photo I am very happy for anyone to have a copy. This picture should be shared. May I ask how long the Model T Ford was in production and on the road for. Have you considered that these children may have died at sea ? The shipping list is not a list of those landed but those who embarked and this is not always strictly correct. I know of at least one case when a man was down on a list but did not sail. He then embarked later so that it "appears" he sailed twice. It is important to check any notes that are with the original record, such as Surgeon's report. Sometimes there will be a note that a certain number died at sea. Hi Robbo; Although there may not be directly what I am seeking; it would appear that such groups are out there and it's just a matter of finding the one who meets my needs. Not as far as I'm aware. I think you'll find the nearest equivalent will be one or another of the various suburban groups - but I don't have any details of those. the older of the tworobbos This email was cleaned by emailStripper, available for free from http://www.papercut.biz/emailStripper.htm

Registration became compulsory in 1853 in Vic but it did not always happen. Also a lot of people have been left off the indexes for some reason or another. most registrations went to churches but they are included in the indexes. the births of older children should list these children and whether they are still alive or not. Also if you can work out where they settled (if they kept still) there may a burial for them somewhere.
