Wilfred Frederick died 1959 in NSW. Parents were Charles & Kate. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Colleen Tapscott Sent: Tuesday, 14 October 2008 11:04 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [AUS-MELBOURNE] Edwin Balfour MARPLE, wife Marion Joan nee LEWIS Thanks Eric. I don't know who Wilfred was but would be surprised if he isn't a brother. I see he enlisted twice in the army (1940 and 1942) and once in the navy (1944). I understand the twice in the army if he was transferring but the navy one seems a bit at odds. Colleen
Thanks Eric. I guess I'll have to hope to make contact with a descendant. Thanks for the information on Wilfred. Thanks Julie. I'm now looking for the death of Edwin Balfour Marple b. 1898 in Blenheim NZ. He might have returned there but I doubt it given that the family seems to have spent all their married lives in or near Melbourne. It seems he must have died after 1985. Thanks for your help. Hi Col, What is your source that Ernest died in 1970? There is a Ernest James Paterson who died in 1976 rego.2047 Parents: Unknown - age 55 (c.1921) I see Annie died in 1965, perhaps by the time Ernest died the people around him did not who his parents were?
