    1. [AUS-MELBOURNE] Kathleen Graham nee Shelley, formerly Bromley - death lookup please
    2. Margaret Couch
    3. Hi list I'm looking for more information about Kathleen SHELLEY, daughter of Rowland Shelley and Maria Brillia Louisa Peters. The family are well documented, but Kathleen seems to be left in limbo after an appearance in the 1924 Electoral roll for Fitzroy, when she was living with her 2nd husband, Thomas Considine GRAHAM at 73 Palmer Street. Some background: Kathleen was a descendant of early missionary, Rev William Shelley, she married first to George BROMLEY in 1871 - they had at least one daughter, Eileen Elgie Bromley (1875), in 1893 She married Thomas Graham. Kathleen was a midwife, who in 1915 was jailed for 18months for procuring abortions, controversially, the Dr involved wasn't convicted - all reported in the "The Argus" at the time. She also had some of her memories published in a historical journal (can't recall the name) in 1920. -- Kind Regards Margaret Couch
