Hello Robyn It may be worthwhile contacting Aunty Irene Ryder or Lynette Nixon at Nalingu Aboriginal Corporation at Mitchell (Phone (07) 4623 1423 - 31 Cambridge Street, Mitchell 4465) - they have family histories and other information relating to Aboriginal families in the Mitchell area (only 95-100 kms away from Roma). Scattery Plains was probably a property - you may need to check pastoral records/maps of the time as it may have changed ownership and names. Regards, Des.
