I read with great sadness the tragedy and loss of so many loved ones and the painful history of our people. Perhaps more sadly is the secret kept by family. My mother told me when I was a young woman that her mother was an aboriginal. There seemed to be this great wall of silence. I was never allowed to ask questions or speak of it. I live in the US, which puts me at a very distinct disadvantage to do research. I have tried to find out where to write and who to contact for any information. I have seen clans or tribes mentioned and would like to do research. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thank you. Sheila Stasko I am looking for Arthur Taylor and Catherine Brown who were married 1899 at Kempsey NSW. Their children were: Kellith E. I have gone to the NSW registry and tried to get some dates. I can't find a middle name to verify anything and the births and deaths are still too new to be able to use the registry.
