    2. Thanks Kazan My gg grandmother was married as Ellen SPROULE and born at Brewarrina NSW about 1865. My mother remembers her and said she didn't know her birth details and was raised by the McHugh's (or a variation of this) women who ran the Wool Scour Facility at that time.     3. Hi Marg, http://www.aaa.com.au/hrh/aboriginal/link.shtml Down the bottom of this page is a place to search for different tribes. This page also contains a lot of useful information if you are looking for Aboriginal ancestors. http://coombs.anu.edu.au/WWWVLPages/AborigPages/LANG/LangHome.html#3 lists a lot about the Aboriginal languages within Australia. If you have a look around in there I'm sure you'll find Bourke listed and will be able to discover what tribe was in that area. Most of my expertise is in Victoria and I have a wonderful map listing the tribes and languages within Vic so sorry I couldn't be of much help to you Marg.
