Dear List Members A useful reference book for those seeking information/details on properties/pastoral stations in Queensland and the Northern Territory is a book called "Atlas of Queensland and Northern Territory Pastoral Stations, etc." by Terrance and Rosemary Alick (ISBN 0-9587139-3-6). It contains a series of maps showing locations of properties, sheep/cattle stations - very handy for family history and for linking names to properties, for example: Many Aboriginal families were given the non-Indigenous name of the property or the property's owner; Some properties took on Aboriginal names for areas/localities as well.
