    3. Weeelll, A POM who came here at six, lived in Melbourne (Seaford, Bayswater, Wantirna, Greensborough) for 27 years, Canberra for four years and just relocated to the Central Coast between Newcastle and Gosford. I need to update the web page in a big way - it's been 18 months since I've been near it. I have been keeping the links which have been across this list in the past week or so - any other good ones greatfully accepted. Also there is the database at http://www.stardate.bc.ca/ivan/sub_pages/aus-koori-db.htm - any submissions appreciated ;-) Regards Ivan -----Original Message----- From: Robynne [mailto:whitehse@bigpond.net.au] Sent: Wednesday, January 23, 2002 10:22 PM To: AUS-KOORI-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [AUS-Koori] RE: Koori List Hi there Ivan, Great to hear from you! Thank you for starting up this list a couple of years ago, I'm sure that everyone will get something good from it and all your hard work. Your web page has some great links on it, thank you for sharing with us. What state are you in? Cheers, Robynne Melbourne ----- Original Message ----- From: Ivan Sanders To: AUS-KOORI-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Wednesday, January 23, 2002 9:56 AM Subject: [AUS-Koori] RE: Koori List Hi there Robynne, You have caught me at an opportune time - I have been out of contact for a couple of weeks and will be away again as of tomorrow morning. Do I object to what you are doing with my list?? I guess the obvious answer (which you might even expect), is that it's not my list - I certainly started it, out of a perceived lack of support for indigenous Australians on Rootsweb.[ It is a list for everyone who shares an interest in indigenous australian's history. The list was started a couple of years ago, and was met with some success but a couple of attempts to work things up ended up with pretty quiet results. I don't have a problem with that, in fact I am more than happy that I have had something to do with setting up the facility - if the time is not right, the list is quiet, at other times, the list picks up - most of the time it is quiet, but at the end of the day it is there when needed and has a couple of hundred subscribers. Please feel free to generate discussion - I appreciate everyone's efforts and contributions. The only thing that I insist on is that it is either family history orientated or positive in its discussion - I have some flexibility, but I will not see the list degenerate as others have when they get out of control with negative contributions.; Personally, I am not indigenous, but have a great interest in the life and times of our great countries original (and current) inhabitants. My interest is in my wife's side - her sixth great grandfather was Mannalargenna who was the last full blood chief in Tasmania. If you want to find out more on my side, follow the link at the bottom of this email. Keep well - keep active and I wish you all well in your research Regards, Ivan -----Original Message----- From: Robynne [mailto:whitehse@bigpond.net.au] Sent: Tuesday, January 22, 2002 8:59 PM To: AUS-KOORI-admin@rootsweb.com Subject: Koori List Hi there List Dad, I hope you don't object to what we're doing on your list at the moment. Trying to generate some discussion and participation. Please let me know if you have any comments. Do you have a name? Maybe you could introduce yourself to the list?
