    2. Cathy, The NSW Household collectors books sounds really interesting, can you tell me what the purpose of those books were and were they for all NSW Households or just Aboriginal households?     3. The Householder collectors books are records from all households across NSW. They are a great resource for both historians and family history research. There are separate columns for Aboriginal and Chinese families. Head of the household names are given with the number of Male/Females and children. The collectors books are the 901 census for NSW. They also recorded location of churches, building, occupations and businesses. Unfortunately, the only records created under the Census that have survived are the Collectors' Books for household returns.
