This page also contains a lot of useful information if you are looking for Aboriginal ancestors. http://coombs.anu.edu.au/WWWVLPages/AborigPages/LANG/LangHome.html#3 lists a lot about the Aboriginal languages within Australia. If you have a look around in there I'm sure you'll find Bourke listed and will be able to discover what tribe was in that area.
