Hello fellow family tree tracers, I am trying to fill in the gaps for my family tree and was wondering if anyone has any info on a William Clancy who was sent to Woorabinda QLD around early to mid 1900s. He is the eldest son of my great-grandmother Ida Law and we have not heard of him since he was taken away. I would like to know if he has any family. I live in NZ so it is a bit hard tracing family from here, and I too have relations that do things on aboriginal time so finding out anything is a slow process.

I think electoral rolls are at your local electoral office. As for the Qld Births Deaths and Marriages. If no one has it on this list, go back to rootsweb and find the Qld list (there is bound to be one) or even an Australia wide list. Hi, Can any one help, I'm looking for any information on my maternal Grandmother Dorothy May Dunbar nee Corrigan born around 1910/1911in Winton QLD died 26th Feb 1932 Richmond.My grandmother birth wasn't registered. My great Grandmothers name was Ellen Corrigan nee Ellis, she was born in aprox 1881 at Paddington Blocks NSW and married Hugh Cecil Corrigan on the 4th of Jan 1905. Ellen's birth isn't registered but her mothers name is listed as Elizabeth Ellis on her marriage certificate. I'm looking for any information at all on my family, my father was adopted after his mothers death. We've managed to find our Dunbar relations but so far have been unable to find any of the Corrigan's or Ellis's. I've tried all the government departments but there are no listings for my family. Has any one found any thing to help in researching Koori ancestors? any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Toni Gall
