Hello Alice, I don'y know anything about Corkery, but I certainly know about the Bourah Hotel. do you know where it is? I have been there, trodden on the soil. One of my forebears was licensee of that very hotel, and managed to have it burn down to his advantage. he was a Burke, married mary O'brien, whose mother (my g-gma) Eliza (by then) Kelly was manager of the store on the aboriginal reserve at the place called Bourah, then dennawan. best wishes Mary ----- Original Message ----- From: "Alice Erickson" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, January 06, 2002 3:07 PM Subject: [AUS-IRISH] CORKERY/WESLEY > I mailed the list a couple of weeks ago on this one but just for the Roll > Call - > > CORKERY (and variants) > Patrick > b ?, Co Cork, IRL > d presumably 1896, hospital Dubbo, reg Dubbo family says died in accident at > gold mine at Peak Hill, NSW > m 1872, Gulgong, NSW > Margaret WESLEY > b c1850-51, Adare, Co Limerick, IRL > d 1890, Culgoa River, reg Brewarrena, 38 yrs. > Margaret's d cert says she died and was buried at Bourah Hotel.
