    3. I am in touch with one family whose Kennys went from Ireland to Australia. We could be connected. Is there anyone else on this list who has Kennys from either Co. Clare or Co. Cork who emigrated to Australia? The names in my family include James, John, Francis, Michael and possibly Edmond, Daniel, and Elizabeth. 3. Hi Jan, My grandmother Mary Emilia Kenny arrived in Brisbane, Queensland C1900. Place of birth given on her marriage certificate was Dublin, but one of the few anecdotal references also mentions Co. Cork, so who knows? She appears to have come alone, and doesn't appear to have connected up with any family here. Father's name was John Kenny, engineer, and mo. was Norah Shanahan. Hope to hear more. Thanks, Leith ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jan Fortado" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, January 23, 2002 3:27 AM Subject: [AUS-IRISH] Kenny/Kenney in Australia > I am in touch with one family whose Kennys went from Ireland to Australia. > We could be connected. 3. Hi, I have a Frances Kenny's born about 1852/1854 in Singleton NSW Australia. I think her father was Lawrence Kenny but don't know where from in Ireland or when he came to Oz. Frances' mother's name may have been Mary. One of those brick walls. Frances Kenny married O'Donahue in NSW in 1872. Have info on decendents.
