Hi All, On another list, a lister mentioned the Burke's Irish Family Records, does any one know what this book is and if that is the correct name for it? Also where it can be viewed, I live in South Aust. Hoping sks can please put me on the right track. I am researching the following Irish names MCCARTHY, REYNOLDS, McMAHON, OCONNOR, FRANCIS and ODONOGHUE. The McCarthy's were from County Clare Ireland the Parish of Kilfenora, Ennis.George McCarthy b abt 1841-1842 married 14-2-1863 at the above parish married Mary OConnor, he had two sisters that I know of that came to S.A. before George. Mary married Thomas Reynolds and Bridget married Patrick McMahon. George may have been the son of Michael McCarthy? and if he had any other sisters or brothers I have no idea. George and Mary and 8 of their 10 children ( 2 died in Ireland as babies) arrived Pt Adelaide on 3-10-1880 on the ship the "CORONA" and they resided in the Pekina District of S.A. as did Mary, Thomas Reynolds and Bridget and Patrick McMahon. I would love to hear from anyone that may be connected to my George, Mary and Bridget mainly as having ancestors that could be their siblings. With many thanks, Judy of S.A.
