Hello Joanne My LEAHY's came from SCHULL, CORK. Gfather was DANIEL LEAHY They settled in Brisbane Q, Robert St. Spring Hill to be exact. I know about present ones but am having great difficulty in going back past Daniel. It is like getting blood out of a stone, trying to get any thing out of Irish Of course, each one may have had brothers or sisters who settled around Qld. Hope this is of help. Lorraine. -------Original Message------- From: Joanne Mitchell Date: Monday, February 04, 2002 11:22:19 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [AUS-IRISH] LEAHY Hi Lorraine, Do you have any idea where in Ireland your LEAHYs were from? I have LEAHYs from County Limerick, one of whom went to the Warwick area of QLD, but I am having no luck finding them in Ireland. Hi Lorraine, Thanks for the extra details. If I ever get anywhere with this lot and happen to discover Cork connections, I'll let you know. As far as I'm aware Tom LEAHY had land in the Freestone district, but I can't find him in the civil records at all. I did have other rellies in Spring Hill, but from the other side of the family - STAFFORDs and CUSACK/O'NEILLs. Thanks again, Jo ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lorraine Egan" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, February 04, 2002 2:20 PM Subject: Re: [AUS-IRISH] LEAHY > > Hello Joanne My LEAHY's came from SCHULL, CORK.
