Seeking descendants of Joseph (or Edward Joseph)McNamee, born to an Irish family in Grahamstown South Africa in 1860. Father Joseph McNamee (of the 12th Regiment Cavalry, British Army; Mother Mary Ann McNamee, later remarrying an O J Meaker. (Joseph senior prior to 1880). There was a brother James, born 1854 who died at the Battle of Kalibani, part of the Basuto Gun Wars. Joseph was a witness (in Grahamstown) at his brother's wedding to Margaret Mulligan after which he no longer appears in St Patrick's Church records. Family information has always been of the firm opinion that Joseph went to New South Wales.
