    3. A friend and I have been researching immigrants from Donegal, especially those who came out under the Donegal Relief Fund scheme, which assisted passengers to Sydney 1858 - 1862. The last three ships to come out under that scheme carried some passengers who were from families evicted from Derryveagh, Gartan, in 1861, by their landlord, Adair, to make way for his deer park/recreation activities - the total evicted were 244 persons. We are hoping to find people who can identify Derryveagh evictees in a list which I have online at my Donegal website. Attempts have been made in the past to identify these people, including two videos - 'The Echo of the Distant Drum' and the more recent 'Tragedy and Triumph, the Story of the Derryveagh Evictions', as well as articles and booklets published by May McClintock, An Taisce, and Dr Bernard Barrett. We would very much like to hear from anyone who can assist with this. Please visit the Derryveagh page at - http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~donegal/billsderryveagh.htm The Donegal Relief Fund project is at - http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~donegal/relief.htm I also have a list of Donegal immigrants arriving Sydney 1848-68, should anyone want me to check for Donegal immigrants, other than those from Derryveagh. Thankyou. Lindel Kaikoura, New Zealand
