    3. The following is an extract from the paper by Ms Jennifer Harrison "From King's County to "Quinnsland" - "Nearer home [Brisbane] can be seen another worthy specimen of an Irishman who frequently takes his seat beside the stipendiary magistrates in Brisbane, honourable and independently differing in opinion from them occasionally. This is Mr William Tracey, a native of Kings County, and one of the passengers by the Erin-go-bragh in 1862". William, born about 1838 in Coole, Crogan, Lower Philipstown, Ballyburly, Edenderry, Kings County, was the son of Michael Tracey and Marcella Dunne. He married Mary Kelly in Ireland and she was born about 1840. As far as I can ascertain, they had seven children - 4 sons and 3 daughters - born in Queensland, Australia, between 1867 and 1882. There are also Catherine and Maria Tracey on board that ship. They were born about 1838 and 1842 respectively. Nothing is known about these two ladies. Can anyone help with these folk please? Many thanks Bev
