Hi I am researching the BURKE and HARRINGTON families from county Roscommon who arrived on the MARCO POLO in 1864, most settled in Redesdale, Axedale, Kyneton, Goornong areas of Victoria. My other interests are DELANEYS(from Tipperary) and QUIRKS and DWYERS who lived in Murchison Vic and Finley NSW Anyone connected to these?. Roslyn Burke

Hi Roslyn I'm not connected to your families but my mother was a friend of Marie Quirk (nee ?) from Finley. Her husband was killed in the 60's (I think)-crushed by a bull he was working with in cattle yards. I remember this quite well although I was youngish at the time. Mum (Joyce Beckwith) and Marie knew each other well but I can't recall how as Mum lived in Deniliquin. I can't recall the husbands name either unfortunately. Not much help but sometimes its interesting to get a few snippets .
