I don't think that there is a connection but we have a John Dwyer b. Tipperary, 1835. He remained in Tipperary and married mary Hickey in 1851. Patrick William Lyons and his bride Bridget (nee Dwyer) Lyons returned to Balan from New Zealand in 1872 when John Dwyer died. They returned with four small children.
