Hi Roslyn thankyou for the information. It really did help and the government house information especially solved a problem that had been puzzling me for ages. I don't know if he was a convict, but the dates are right, and I''ll pursue that one too. Again, thanks, Nicola. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Roslyn A Burke" <burkefam@bigpond.com> To: <AUS-IRISH-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, September 19, 2003 1:40 AM Subject: Re: [AUS-IRISH] Andrew BLAKE (1819-1877) > This website mentions a photo of Andrew Blake who rented Govt house in the > 1860's > www.teachingheritage.nsw.edu.au/a_forming/resources/wa3_sshist.doc > > There is an Andrew Blake convict on the Transportation page: > http://www.nationalarchives.ie/cgi-bin/naisearch01 > The Calcutta arrived in Sydney Aug 1837. > > Hope this helps > Roslyn > > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Raphael Darcy" <darcy5@eircom.net> > To: <AUS-IRISH-L@rootsweb.com> > Sent: Friday, September 19, 2003 5:13 AM > Subject: [AUS-IRISH] Andrew BLAKE (1819-1877) > > > > I am looking for any information on Andrew BLAKE died in Parramatta 1877 > aged 58.
