Hello everyone, I am currently researching the Blayney (or Blaney) family (John and Margery Blayney and 6 children), who arrived in Australia on the 'Bloomer' in 1853 and ended up on Ross Farm near Narrabri NSW. John Blayney states in his will that he took his first selection in 1868. I would be very keen to hear from anyone who has this family crop up in their research. And also any opinions on what Irish families generally did to keep body and soul together before they acquired land! -- Courtney Pedersen Brisbane AUSTRALIA
